URSA MAIOR

•Sapienza University of Rome has been involved in the design, manufacturing and test of URSA MAIOR, a 3U CubeSat developed in the framework of QB50, an European project led by the Von Karman Institute of Fluid Dynamics, which aim is multi-point in situ measurement of the parameters of lower thermosphere.

•The satellite has been successfully integrated, tested and launched on orbit on 23^rd June, 2017.

•The satellite is operative. The EPS and the fault-tolerant distributed computing architecture properly work.

•The satellite has been received from many radio-amateurs all around the world: from Italy, Germany, South Africa and USA.

•Satellite telemetries and photos are downloaded approximately every day.
