Drone racing, the sport of the future, is coming to more than a dozen schools in Northern Ohio this Spring 2018. Thanks to a generous equipment sponsorship from Buckeye Broadband, EHOVE Career Center organized a training seminar for participating schools January 23, with training provided by Safety Third Racing.

Students from Sandusky, St. Mary's, EHOVE Career Center, Willard, Perkins, Edison and Huron competed in the area's first drone racing championships Saturday at Kalahari Resorts. In recent months, high school and middle school teams have gone head-to-head in the drone racing league’s first season with help from by Safety Third Racing Academy, a drone racing organization based in several states, including Ohio.
