My Magnum Opus is RAPID (Rural Action Plan Integrated Database), a GIS software developed using Visual BASIC and MS Access, being used by the Collectorates of all districts to monitor the progress of Rural Development projectsÂ
Been assisting the Directorate of Rural Development (DRD) and District Rural Development Agencies (DRDAs) in e-Governance. Have interacted with hundreds of Collectors, Project Directors and other officers such as Mr. Umashankar, IAS, Mr. Shanmugam, IAS and Mr. Sattanathan, IAS in connection with RAPID, PMGSY and other Projects.
As Co-ordinator, State Technical Agency (STA), Pradhan Mantri Grama Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) Scheme, NRIDA, GoI, was the leader of the team responsible for scrutinizing rural road proposals worth hundreds of crores of rupees every year in Tamilnadu since its inception in 2000. Our team has been assisting the NRIDA at the national level and DRD at the state level for the past 23 years through PMGSY Phases 1 to 11, Bharat Nirman Phases 1 to 3, PMGSY II and currently PMGSY III.
