Design Proposal

  • The mirror goes in the front of everything, and is bordered with the hardboard wood. The raspberry pi, speaker, and the microphone are all mounted in the back around the wood for the mirror to stay flush with the wall. Along with the frame, the stand that we designed is also made of wood. The microphone and speaker will act as the alexa, and the code will be uploaded into the raspberry pi. The display will be directly pressed up against the acrylic mirror in order for it to display through the mirror. The small display will then be connected to the raspberry pi as well and another source code will be uploaded for the information we see on the mirror. The RGB lights are bordered around the mirror on the wood frame. An app will then be developed by us in order to control all of these functions on one interface.

  • For the user, our stand makes for easier setup and mirror displays and our app will allow for full customization. Other, than these features, there is not much procedure having to be done on the other end.

  • We still se programming difficulties in the future. There are always roadblocks in that side of the project that we will have to troubleshoot and overcome. Other than that we are solid on what we want to accomplish and how we will do that.
