Ryze Privacy Policy - Last updated: June 5, 2026
Important Notice
Ryze is not affiliated with, authorized, or endorsed by Infinite Campus, Inc., Instructure (Canvas), Google, or any other academic platform it connects to. Ryze does not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Overview
Ryze ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we access, how we handle it, and your rights as a user. By using Ryze, you agree to this policy.
Age Requirement
Ryze is intended for users aged 12 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 12 has used this app, please contact us at support@ryze-grades.com and we will promptly address it.
How Ryze Works — Credential & Authentication Notice
Ryze never accesses, stores, or transmits your login credentials. All authentication occurs directly between your device and your school's platform (such as Infinite Campus or Canvas). Ryze operates entirely on your device — your username and password are never seen, stored, or handled by Ryze or its developer.
Information We Access
When you connect an academic platform, Ryze retrieves data including class names, assignments, grades, GPA, and related school metadata solely to display it within the app. This data is:
Stored locally on your device only
Never transmitted to Ryze's servers
Never shared with any third party
Automatically removed when you uninstall the app
How We Use Your Information
To display, sync, and calculate your academic data within the app
To compute GPA, grade trends, and class analytics
To provide app features including assignment tracking and final grade calculations
To respond to support requests if you contact us directly. If you contact support, we only use your email address and any information you provide to respond to your message — nothing else
We do not sell, rent, license, or trade your information to any third party for any purpose.
Third-Party Services
Ryze uses no third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising networks, or tracking services. No data from any connected academic platform is shared with or transmitted to any external party or server.
FERPA Notice
Ryze is a personal productivity tool used directly by students to view their own academic data. Ryze does not act as a school official, does not receive data from schools or districts, and does not store or share education records. All data access occurs locally on the student's own device using the student's own authenticated session.
Data Storage & Security
All academic data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage (Keychain where applicable, AsyncStorage for app preferences). No academic data is transmitted externally. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. Your local data may be included in your standard device backups (such as iCloud), subject to your own device settings and backup preferences.
Data Retention & Deletion
Since Ryze stores no data on our servers, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete from our end. All data exists solely on your device and is removed upon uninstalling the app. To request deletion of any support correspondence sent directly to us, contact support@ryze-grades.com.
Your Rights
Ryze does not sell or share your personal or academic data with any third parties. Under applicable laws including CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know what personal data is held about you. Since Ryze does not collect or store personal data on any server, no personal data is held by us. For any support emails you have sent us, you may request deletion at any time by contacting support@ryze-grades.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Changes take effect when posted with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
