Website of Ryu Ueno
My name is Ryu Ueno(Tardif) and I am a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics at Hokkaido University. I am studying under the advice of Professor Hitoshi Furuhata. Please take a look at the other pages to access my details.
My interests are information geometry, geometry of statistical manifolds, and affine differential geometry. I am a big fan of pure mathematics, but I have reached myself into industrial activities many times. I also work as a research assistant at the Mathematical Data Science Research and Education centre of Hokkaido University. I look up to many mathematicians, but especially my advisor Professor Hitoshi Furuhata, and Professor Barbara Opozda.
Matsumoto castle, near Shinshu University
Having a Japanese mother and Quebecois father, I was born in the city of Sapporo in Japan, and during my high school time my family as a whole lived in Squamish B.C., Canada. I moved back to Japan by myself for university and received my Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Shinshu University.
The reason I came back to this island was for food. I do miss TV shows broadcasted in Canada.
