Species List
View detailed race info by clicking the name. Some (most) pages are still under construction.
As of the Stardragon Open Species changes, I will need to redo this page and change some info. I thank you for your patience!
A race of 2-horned unicorns who often sport decorative wings on their ears, hips, wrists, or ankles. They acclimate and adapt easily, having settlements across the furthest reaches of land and sea.
Four-Arms
A wild race heavily influenced by their environment, Four-Arms are known to sprout all manner of objects from their back, including flowers, smoke, tentacles, mushrooms, and even mechanical pieces, like gears and music-box keys.
These three-eyed rabbits are able to see the future and peer into the Celestial Plane. In the colder months, they grow an entirely new winter coat, then shed it again come spring.
Phasms
Elusive beings who can slip in and out of the Celestial Plane. They are considered benevolent guardians, and are said to have fetched Stardragons from the heavens so that they may live again.
Strzyga
Formally "Skurge." Vampiric Imps who drain the magic from other beings to sustain themselves. They have excellent night vision and are able to move swiftly and silently. They adorn themselves with animal bones.
Stardragons
A race of dragons born from the stars. They are incredibly diverse, having 8 standard species within their race, which branch into further subspecies from there. They are known for their dazzling soul gems.
Terms of Service
By purchasing one of my designs, either through me or second hand, you agree to my ToS.
You may NOT resell a design for an amount exceeding the cost of the original purchase + price of additional art. You may include the price of commissions and the value of your own artwork, however, gift art or otherwise free illustrations should not contribute towards the resale price.
Recolours are a multifaceted issue, and it's hard to take a single, solid stance on the matter, given all the variables. I don't mind the addition of "winter coats" or using a single design to spawn a twin. However, I kindly request that you do not sell these recolours separate from their origin design. Furthermore, please don't use the original design as a "recolour factory" where you pump out multiple characters with slight variations.
On a similar note, please do not use my species as a means to circumvent rules and restrictions of other adoptables, closed species, and designs. I know some of my critters have a lot of flexibility when it comes to traits, but this does not make them a build-a-bear where you can borrow the prominent features of other Closed Species
Honestly, Terms of Service documents are the most obnoxious thing to write. It feels like "Baby's First Legal Document: Sparkle Dragon Edition." It's hard to find the sweet spot between simple and straightforward while still being thorough and in-depth. Ultimately, all I can do is ask that you be kind, use your best judgement, and contact me if you have a question. I'll always try my best to be accommodating.
Advisories
Keep these things in mind when buying, selling, and sharing designs
When purchasing a design second hand, make sure that the seller can provide the original, watermark-free image. This is to protect you from scams and prevent your designs from having someone else's watermark plastered all over.
Store your files in a safe place and consider backing them up externally. You can contact me if you lose your original design, but I cannot guarantee I'll have a copy on file. Furthermore, MYOs are completely out of my hands - you will have to contact the original artist.
You do not need to inform me when you sell or purchase a design second hand.
If you believe a design is being resold at an unfair price and would like to verify the value, please let me know. I can comb through old paypal receipts and look for the transaction.
Carefully consider whether or not you want to share a design with a friend or significant other. If things go sideways and you find yourself no longer in a relationship, it is your responsibility to decide what to do with the design. You may not separate recolours or duplicate designs. I will not get involved in any disputes.
FAQ
Illustrated Info Sheets:
I have no plans to make illustrated info sheets at this time. I will likely stick to Google Sites for the foreseeable future for ease of use.
Plantigrade feet:
Perfectly fine! You can even edit a provided base to reflect this.
Feral & human forms:
Human and Feral forms are open to interpretation.
Design editing:
As long as the design does not deviate too much from the original, recolours and design edits are fine. This is not a green light to use my pre existing designs as a blank slate. Purchase a MYO slot if that is what you're after. If you're unsure if your edit is within reason, feel free to contact me.
Hybrids and Crossbreeds:
My races may interbreed. You must purchase a MYO slot and the appropriate rarity tier (if applicable) to create a hybrid design.
Body & Identity
Canonically, all my species can be any sex, gender, body type, etc.
So about the Stardragon vs OG Ryn adopts...
Bicorns, Fourarms, Harevoyants, Phasms, and Skurge are some of my earliest designs. However, there was such a short time gap between these original adoptables and the "rise of Stardragons", I never actually had the chance to do any world building or lore crafting for them. Stardragons had soared in popularity and demanded my full attention before I could really take the time to consider anything special for my older critters. In the process of coming up with new Stardragon races and fleshing out their info/rarity sheets, I looked to my older adoptables for inspiration. Many key traits were borrowed from these early races but are still integral to their core design.
I feel like it'd be fun to one day to draw something showing each Stardragon race and what traits they inherited from the earlier species, but until then, you can check out the old art vs new art comparisons.
