4. Schedule
a. Game schedule (games could still be added, especially freshman games)

b. Senior night: Options 9/3 (NCC) or 9/12 (SK)
i. Underclass parents are responsible for planning senior night
5. Try-outs (Boone County Policy is a required two-day try-out):
a. Varsity/JV: tentatively set for July 16, 17, and 18 (if needed)
i. Times will be released after dead period ends on July 9
b. Freshman: tentatively set for July 22, 23, and 24 (if needed)
i. Times to be released after dead period ends on July 9
ii. Middle schoolers are eligible for high school team
7th Graders will be selected only if we have a shortage of players trying out
c. Must Have KHSAA physical, and RTT Form in Big Teams

1. Team Snap
i v. Facebook: Hasn’t been active in several years. Is out of date, we are looking for a parent volunteer to update and run the Facebook page, please let a coach know if you are interested.

7. Budget
a. Program expenses: $14,000-$16,000 per year (going up every year)
i. We must be a self-supporting program (no funds from school or school board)
ii. Fundraising is a necessary evil. We are not allowed to ask parents to pay a specific amount instead of fundraising (School Board Policy)
iii. Our accounts are extremely low starting this year compared to the previous 5 years
8. Fundraising
a. Finance: Have averaged $15,000 the past few years in Fundraising.
i. Fundraising university (same as baseball and volleyball have used in past year)
ii. July 31 to August 12
b. School Required Fundraising:
i. All sports combined through AD (required participation)

c. Team Shop
i. Game-One- all school contract
ii. Will try to have early August for spirit wear items
d. Youth Soccer Camp
i. June 6 to June 8 (Ryle stadium)
ii. We need players to volunteer to help each day (Service Hours provided)

i. We will look at adding a couple Restaurant nights

9. Parent Help:
a. Booster Club / Raider Athletic Club (RAC):
b. Introduce Krista Brassine (krista.brassine@boone.kyschools.us)
c. Concessions/Gate:
i. Concessions: We are required to have a concession stand at every game. Will need parents to help run and work Concession Stand.
ii. Gate: Parents will need to help cover gate each game
iii. We need parents to help organize and run the concession stand—speak to Coach Collins if able
iv. Clock:
1. Varsity Games: May Need A Clock Person
2. JV Games: Clock person required, could use an announcer
3. Freshman Game: Clock person required, could use an announcer
10. Team Pictures
a. Scheduled: TBD by AD
b. Picture form, bring day of pictures (Pictures taken by Lifetouch)
11. Athletic Fee: $35 to Ryle Athletics.
a. Will collect once player has made the team
b. Collecting Money: Please use checks as much as possible, makes it easier for Red Book Policy
12. Expectations
a. Player Expectations
i. Playing Time will not be EQUAL at any level, and playing time must be EARNED
1. 24/48 hour rule
a. Players aren’t allowed to confront coaches about playing time after a game
b. They must wait 24 hours to have that discussion
ii. Practice/Game Attendance
1. You are expected to attend all required practices and games
2. Excessive missing of practices will result in penalties including loss of game time, unless excused by Coach
3. Being on time to practice and games is being late, to not be late players need to have equipment on and ready to start practice to be on time.
iii. Parents
1. Coaches will not discuss playing time with parents without the player having a previous discussion
2. Parents must wait 48 to set up a meeting with coaches
3. Players will be present at all meetings with parents
4. Playing Time will Not be EQUAL it is earned
iv. Yellow/Red Cards
1. Either can result in a penalty. Maintain composure, and represent Ryle in a positive manner
v. Behavior is monitored all season- Represent Ryle High School
1. This goes for in and out of school, along with on and off the field.
2. Social Media- Representing Ryle High School on there as well.
vi. Vape policy: school policy, can result in team suspension
vii. Drugs/Alcohol: school policy, can result in team suspension)
viii. Vacation
Dead Period: June 24 to July 9 (no use of field and no contact with coaches)
13. Grades & Behavior:
a. Grades Check policy be reworked, will get out information once I receive.
Will incorporate Growth grade and next year teachers can give failing growth for cell phone usage in class
b. Students must have passed all graduation requirement classes the semester before to be eligible or do remediation (summer school). Grades are cumulative over the whole school year. No practive or play if you are ineligible for grades.
14. Transportation
a. Players Driving:
i. Players may not drive themselves to a road match (district/school policy, no exceptions
ii. Another student may not drive a player to road matches
iii. Players caught violating this rule could receive practice and game suspensions
PRE-SEASON
1. All Star Training
a. 5-week session (4 before dead period, and 1 after)
i. Specialized soccer training that everyone is invited to participate in.
ii. We have done this the past couple years and the players that have attended have seen great results.
iii. Cost will be $ 85 for all 10 sessions.
iv. Sign-up genius will be sent out soon
2. Open field
a. Right now, we have the following dates set for open fields
i. May- 5/28, 5/30
ii. June- 6/4, 6/6, 6/10, 6/13, 6/17, 6/20, 6/24
iii. The Time of these sessions are set for 630 pm to 8 pm
b. The dates and times are subject to change or be amended, our twitter page will update any changes.
c. These are open practices focused on technical aspects, fitness, and small sided games that are open to all potential Ryle players Middle School through Seniors.
3. Dead Period
a. Dead Period is June 24th to July 10th
b. ALL RYLE ATHLETIC FACILITIES WILL BE CLOSED
c. Coaches are not allowed to contact team members during dead period.
d. During this time, it is important for players to work out on their own or with each other, it just cannot be at Ryle or include any Ryle Staff member.
e. Coming into the season in shape gives us a great starting point and can put us ahead of the other programs in the area.
