I am a traditional artist and teacher. I enjoy working with young adults and older students to share the joy art brings me with others.
I have been drawing at least once a day for the past year, via digitally working in photoshop with my tablet, traditionally with pencil or pen, and with my hands with clay or button press.
To whom it may concern,
My name is Ryland All and I am an artist and teacher. I studied art as an undergraduate at Agnes Scott College and Studied Teaching as a graduate student at Grand Canyon University. I am highly interested in art because I have a passion for the creation of characters and other worlds. My main practice of these skills has been the drawing of characters in my time playing Dungeons and Dragons for the past thirteen years. I believe I would make an excellent artist because of my knowledge of games, comics, and other similar art forms.
My college and practical experience in the art world is centered on the curatorial side of things, although I’m proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Final Cut Pro, as well as other art applications on my iPad and Tablet. I have had experience teaching a class in Figure Drawing and Character Creation and I am familiar with most traditional art styles including, print -making, painting, etching, drawing, and digital art. I have and practice with Wacom tablets and currently work on my own Tablet with a specialist stylus on a screen. The majority of my work right now consists of the creation of diverse animated characters in fictitious scenarios to create dialogues about diversity and natural intelligence of animals as compared to human beings.
I prefer to work with traditional media in my free time but thoroughly enjoy working with digital mediums as well. I’ve been working digitally creating stickers and buttons for online sale, as well as making digital art for prints. I have been drawing at least once a day for the past year to hone my skill and I would love to have a chance to work doing what I love, creating.
I would love to work as a creative artist in any position, as the experience would offer opportunities to build up my skills and hone my creativity. A position in the art world offer the opportunity for me to learn and grow as a creative artist which is very exciting for me. I would love to have an interview and would be very excited for an opportunity to participate in an internship, job opportunity, or creative collaboration. I am available any time for follow up questions at rylandall@gmail.com or via phone at (360) 908-1900. I very much look forward to hearing from you, thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Ryland All
