"Professor McCord was an incredibly outgoing instructor who made the concepts very clear during her presentations. I really enjoyed the visuals she included in her lectures like graphs on the board and pictures on her slides. I found those to be particularly helpful in visualizing difficult concepts"
"Professor Mccord did an outstanding job teaching this course. Although at times the material became more complex, Ryan had an in-depth understanding of the material and was able to clearly articulate point and answer any/all questions. Professor Mccord did a great job of engaging students in the course material during lectures to keep everyone involved and overall was a great teacher of the content in this course."
"This class honestly had way more class participation than any of my other classes. I think it was because she gave us discussion questions during class and made us socialize, but also because she's really chill and you know she's not gonna judge you if you say something wrong. Like, some of my econ professors are kinda intimidating and they make things way more complicated than they need to and then everyone is scared to talk in class because it's embarrassing to not know what's going on, but Ryan is like the opposite of that. She explains things very clearly and people feel welcome in class."

"Ryan was an overall amazing professor for this course. This has been one of my favorite classes at UNC. I feel that I learned so much and that I have really been inspired for my future. The way that she laid out the topics worked really well. During each class, she made it really easy for students to discuss and really engage with the material. She never put anyone down for their ideas and was very welcoming."
"Ryan is a wonderful instructor. Very knowledgeable, and she put together a wonderful set of materials for this class. This is my first Energy course I've taken, and I really appreciated the ways Ryan was able to break down a lot of the basics, while also going in-depth into examples and the past/present/future of energy discourse. I was excited to come to class each class period, and she gave us plenty of opportunities to explore the aspects of energy transitions that we are individually most interested in through projects, discussions, debates, etc. It helped solidify and expand my knowledge in my own field."
"Was extremely flexible and worked with our needs/wants. Always happy and fostered a great classroom environment that facilitated good class discussions. Understanding and kind person who cares about her students and wants them to succeed."
