my research assistants
My name is Ryan Shìjié Dù (杜世杰) (why do I spell my name this way).
I am starting as a post-doctoral fellow at Colorado School of Mines, working on surface waves observed by remote sensing platforms. I will be joining the SWOT science team working with Bia Villas Bôas, Momme Hell, and Luc Lenain.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Atmosphere Ocean Science and Mathematics at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University, advised by Oliver Bühler and Shafer Smith.
Before that, I obtained my Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Philosophy at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
