About Ryan Schwerdtfeger – Founder, RBLS Group LLC & BooXkeeping Wichita
With over two decades of experience in accounting, finance, and operations, I bring a deep and practical understanding of what businesses need to thrive—from small startups to national restaurant brands. My journey began in high school, where I took part in a pioneering dual-enrollment program in Drafting Technology. That hands-on foundation led to a Boeing internship, where I drew blueprints for aircraft engineers, before a shift in the economy redirected my path toward business and accounting.
While attending Wichita State University, I joined the Air National Guard in Electrical Power Production to help pay for college. I worked a variety of jobs—AutoZone, FedEx, and ultimately accounting internships—that set the course for my career. After working as a staff auditor and then in tax and financial reviews, I quickly realized I enjoyed working directly with businesses—not just behind spreadsheets.
That realization led me to Savista (later Accenture), where I worked with national clients like Fazoli’s and Joe’s Crab Shack (Ignite Restaurant Group). Over time, I was promoted to BPO Controller and received recognition from client CFOs for my leadership and results. When Accenture exited the mid-sized Business Process Outsourcing market, I helped transition key clients to InfoSync Services’ Wichita office—where I led controller teams and was instrumental in establishing SOC audits and internal audit processes for our largest clients.
From there, I joined Tavistock Restaurant Group as Corporate Controller, supporting a multi-brand restaurant portfolio and working directly with executive leadership to restructure operations across multiple states. I later returned to InfoSync, where I led high-profile accounts such as Del Frisco’s, Macaroni Grill, On The Border, Allied Lube, and Ruby Tuesday—often stepping in during leadership transitions, acquisitions, or complex offboarding efforts.
In 2021, after a brief health-related break, I joined On The Border Restaurant Group once again as in-house Controller during a period of executive turnover, helping to stabilize and restructure their finance operations. When that role concluded in 2024, I shifted to a new chapter—consulting.
Today, I lead RBLS Group LLC, originally created for managing real estate holdings, and now expanded into a full-service accounting/CPA consulting for businesses seeking a strategic, hands-on financial partner. I'm also launching BooXkeeping Wichita in June 2025, providing accessible, high-quality bookkeeping services to small and mid-sized businesses across the region.
Whether you need a controller with national brand experience or a bookkeeper who understands what it’s like to grow a business from the ground up—I’ve been there, and I can help.
