Hailing from Western Massachusetts, Ry has countless theatrical experience in various roles/titles. Starting as a performer during his youth, Ry dedicated his life to performance art and studied Theatre at Roger Williams University obtaining his Bachelor of Arts Degree in the field. Soon, he discovered his strength behind the scenes focusing his studies and extra curriculars on technical aspects of production and production management.
As a recurring stage manager, he has stage managed more than a dozen performance events in the fields of theatre, dance, and music. This eventually led to Ry combining his strong leadership skills and passion for theatre arts into theatrical directing, debuting in the summer of 2023. He furthered his understanding of the directing craft with his Senior Directing Project of PUFFS by Matt Cox; where he spent more than 6 months researching and preparing to rehearse under the advisement of his long-time professor of theatre. PUFFS was notably the most successful and positively reviewed production of his university during his senior year.
Formerly, he was a Co-Director of Minerva Arts Center, a registered 401(c) Not-for-profit performing arts organization. After performing at Minerva for nearly a decade, he then directed and music directed multiple productions and led youth workshops in vocal and performance skills. Currently, he is a youth programmer and summer camp director for a private school and a freelance theatre artist exploring professional and educational theatre careers.
