Mr. Hood

Jeff Hood, Director

I am extremely proud to be here at Worley Middle School as the Associate Director of Bands and to be a Worley Tiger! The 2019/2020 school year will be my 12th year at Worley, my 23rd year in Mansfield I.S.D., and my 24th year in education. I am originally from Mansfield and was in the very 1st 8th grade class to come through Worley Middle School. I graduated from Mansfield High School in 1990 and then went to Baylor University for my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education in 1995 and my Masters of Business Administration in 2018. While at Baylor (the first time), I met my Baylor sweetheart (Kristin) and we will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this December.

My wife Kristin is an assistant principal in Ft. Worth I.S.D. Her passion is making a difference in the lives of her students and her teachers. We are blessed with two outstanding kids, Ashleigh (21) and David (19)! Ashleigh (my princess) is in her 4th year as an Architecture major at the University of Texas in Arlington. She is very active in their Baptist Student Ministries and has a heart for serving others. David (my bud) is in his 2nd full year in the Commercial Aviation Pilot Program at TCC Alliance Airport. He just recently received his private pilots license and is living out his dream of being an airline pilot.

Band has always been an Important part of my life from all the way from Mansfield High School through Baylor University! It allowed me to be myself around some of the best people in the world and has given me lifelong friends that I am still very close to today. Most people that know me know that I am still a kid at heart so that makes teaching middle school band the perfect place for me. I am looking forward to a great year of learning, fun, and making great memories!
