In 4-H market swine projects members can learn about selecting and raising a large livestock project animal.
Youth learn about record keeping, nutrition, health, project management and judging.

Beginning in January 2022 our Club will raise two hogs for "Pen Pride," a fundraising program that benefits all 4-H Clubs in San Mateo County.
Members will learn safety procedures and then sign up with their parents for early morning and evening shifts (supervised by the project leaders and their parents) feeding and exercising the hogs.
Requirements: Ages 9+ (You must have completed a small animal project to raise a pig, but you do not have to raise a pig to be in the project.)
