Transports to Bath

The nearest airport is Bristol airport (BRS), from which you can take either the AirDecker bus to Bath, or the airport flyer bus to Bristol Temple Meads, and then the GWR train to Bath Spa.
From London Heathrow airport (LHR), you can take the Heathrow express or the Elizabeth line to Paddington station. Then, GWR trains run from Paddington to Bath Spa (book tickets early for a better price). There is also a National Express bus running from Heathrow to Bath directly. Another option is to take a RailAir bus to Reading (more frequent), and then the train from Reading to Bath (favorite option of some locals).

From the accomodations to the Wolfson

There are two lines going from town to campus: the U1 and the U2. See different bus stop locations on the map above.
The final stop for the buses is the Arrival Square, from there, follow the red line on the map, you'll have to climb a few steps and then walk on the Parade, which is the main street through campus. From the Parade, you can access the 4 West building, on the left. This will make you enter on Level 2 and the Wolfson Amphitheatre is on Level 1 of this 4 West building.
There is another earlier stop for the bus, which is also shown on the map.

Alternatively, you can walk up the hill, either by Widcombe hill or Bathwick hill, but be aware that this is a sporty walk as the hill is steep.

Restaurants and pubs

There are many nice restaurants and pubs to try in Bath. Here is a list, in no particular order, and which may grow by the time the conference starts: Dough (pizza, two locations), the Raven (pub, nice pies, nice ales, good british experience), Yak Yeti Yak, the Scallop Shell (fish and chips), The White Hart (creative pub food), Jars Meze (Greek food), the Bell (pub, they do pizza on some days), Mantra (Indian), Giggling Squid (Thai food), Noodle Bath, Indian Temptation, Salathai, for burgers, Burgers and Barrels (a bit far) or BrewDog (good burgers, good beer, in the centre).
