WHO WE ARE

The Ralston Valley Mustangs Water Polo team began in 2019 as Arvada West Wildcats Water Polo. With team growth, we moved to Ralston Valley starting with the 2026 season! The Mustangs Water Polo team is a co-ed team competing against high schools in the Denver metro area and Colorado Springs. We are a member of the Colorado High School Water Polo Association. Our season is from mid-August through early November, and culminates with a state championship tournament. Mustangs Water Polo is home to athletes from multiple high schools in Jefferson County, including Ralston Valley, Arvada West, Jefferson Academy, Golden, Evergreen, Conifer, Lakewood, and Wheat Ridge.

Mustangs Water Polo is proud to recognize our Wildcats alumni who have continued playing water polo at the collegiate level!

Alexis Kilgroe

Alexis was a founding member of the Arvada West water polo team. She played DII varsity water polo at Salem University, and graduated in 2024.

Jespyn Bishop

Jespyn was a founding member of the Arvada West water polo team. He played DII varsity water polo at McKendree University, and graduated in 2025.

Rebecca Bijold

Rebecca was a founding member of the Arvada West water polo team. She is currently playing DII varsity water polo at California State University Monterey Bay.

Rowan Daughtrey

Rowan was a founding member of the Arvada West water polo team. He is currently playing DII varsity water polo at McKendree University.

Ryan Sontag

Ryan was a founding member of the Arvada West water polo team. He is currently playing club water polo at the University of Vermont. Ryan was part of the UVM Division Champion team in both 2023 and 2024!

Whitley Beamon

Whitley is currently playing DI varsity water polo at California Baptist University.
