Every student has access to Office365, which includes:
Web-based versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as OneDrive, Teams, and other Microsoft programs. When you work on the web-based versions, your work will save to the cloud.
Free downloads of all of the above programs. Downloading lets you work offline and save to your own hard drive (no signing in required)
You can get to Office365 through the Lion’s Den; look for the link to “Office 365 – College Email,” which will take you to your college email account in Outlook (the account that ends @stu.raritanval.edu). Then use the menu on the left side of that window to navigate to the other Office365 apps available to you. You can also click the "Outlook" button above.

In order to receive accommodations, students must be registered with the Center Accessibility for Inclusive Education. Students should register with the office as soon as possible. No accommodation is official until the Accommodation Letter is issued from the student to their instructor.
The Testing Center is available to students for a variety of uses. For students who have a letter of accommodation due to a disability (see above), the Testing Center may be an option for reduced distraction testing or extended time. The RVCC Tutoring Center offers both virtual (Zoom) and in-person tutoring. There is also online (asynchronous/non-Zoom) option for students available at engtutor@raritanval.edu.
You are encouraged to make an appointment, but walk-ins are also welcome. All appointments, whether in-person or virtual, can be made on their website.
"Advising, Counseling, and Transfer Services" are in one office, but academic advising is different from personal counseling. RVCC has both (see below for counseling services and transfer). Academic advisors can help you figure out what classes to take next and guide you in other ways as well. Currently, they have drop-in Zoom visits and regular in-person office hours (click here to see their hours and get the link)

As a student you may experience a range of issues that can cause barriers to learning. We care about your overall well-being and RVCC Counseling Services is here to help with any issues you may experience. If you are experiencing any personal distress, an increase in anxiety, feelings of isolation or depression, suicidal thoughts, and/or rising addiction issues counselors are available during business hours for remote sessions. All services are free and confidential.

If you need to change your name with RVCC for any reason, simply fill out the Student Chosen Name Form. To find it, click here or click on the button above. If the links don't work, search "chosen name" in Lion's Den.

Financial aid is available to full and part-time students. Click here to apply for financial aid (note: for these and other links you may need to be signed in to your RVCC account). You should apply for financial aid even if you think you won't be eligible. If you have any questions, you can contact the Financial Aid office.
RVCC is participating in the New Jersey Community College Opportunity Grant Program (NJ CCOG), which offers free community college to qualified students. Click here to learn more and find out if you are eligible.
There are MANY job opportunities on campus for Federal Work Study positions this semester (Fall 2021).
To be eligible for Federal Work/Study, students must have completed a 2021-2022 FAFSA. You can then check to see if you qualify by emailing: finaid@raritanval.edu or stopping by their office in College Center C-143.
