The River Valley Community Orchestra is a group of musicians from the River Valley area who perform a wide variety of orchestral music at free concerts in Hastings, Minnesota.

The RVCO is proud to be under the nonprofit fiscal sponsorship of the Friends of the Hastings Arts Center.

The River Valley Community Orchestra presented Symphony of Shadows, a free Halloween concert for the whole community conducted by Sarah Lockwood. It was an afternoon of eerie favorites, ghostly classics, and symphonic surprises performed by local musicians in celebration of the season.

The RVCO had their debut performance as the opener for The River Valley Band's Pops Concert on April 17th, 2025.  Performing Gustav Holst's Jupiter: Bringer of Jollity, Fantasy on Sleeper's Wake by J.S. Bach, and finishing with Declaration Overture by Claude T. Smith, the orchestra declared themselves here and ready to perform.
