Scroll to the bottom for two important videos on LR10- What is LR10? (Why it is a requirement) and an How to Navigate LR10
Hi there, my name is Ruth Fuller and I am your instructor for LR10. This video is a quick introduction to me!
Every student deserves access to the tools and information that empower them to share their unique knowledge, perspective, experience, and solutions.
I want your experience with the library and the research process (and me!) to be a positive, supportive one.
Although we are online, I hope you see and feel my presence as your partner in your learning process.
I want to hear from you, work with you, and improve my course because of you.
Technology has taken over the information landscape; librarians are the wranglers of this landscape and I want you to feel like you have a librarian in your corner should you decide you could use a hand. Additionally, knowing how to navigate a library and its resources is a superpower that I want all students to wield because information is the fuel that stokes the fire of our brains, of our voices, and of our efforts when we engage with the world around us to enact change.
My hope and goal is that you finish this semester with a view of yourself as a scholar, an asset, and as an agent of change for your own world. Your thoughts, ideas, and words are valuable contributions to the information landscape!
This syllabus is designed to be mobile-friendly and provide you with essential information to support you with a successful start in this course. This syllabus is provided as a website so you can easily access it from your smartphone. I encourage you to bookmark it on your phone so it's easy to find and reference when you need it.

My Preferred Contact Method is Email
but I am flexible to meet you needs
I’m here to help you, just let me know you need help. We can email, text, chat, talk via phone or zoom, etc. I generally respond within 48 hours, but if you don’t get a response, please message me again… you’re not pestering me, I promise!
I am also available at the main Library Tuesdays and Wednesdays if you want to pop in and say "Hi!"
or you can log on to Library chat-
I cover the e-Reference Desk Mondays 3pm to 7pm.
Use the Library's Virtual Reference Desk(see the chat box below)
You can ask questions there for this class, or ANY class you're taking.
There's a Solano College librarian "on desk" 7 days a week to answer your questions. (I'm on Tuesdays 12-2!) And there are librarians on 24/7 that have access to our library's tools and FAQs, so you can always get help for this class, or any class, any time.
