Dear God,
Wow. I cannot believe it's been three months since I started working for Boaz. Father, you have been so faithful in the way that you wove our stories together and allowed us to develop such a deep love for each other. Father, when you urged Naomi to tell me to go lie at Boaz's feet and wait for him to awaken, I thought she was crazy. Though I knew I had to obey...it was very hard for me, Lord. I did not understand how lying at Boaz's feet would make him fall in love with me, but when he awoke, he told me that I was so kind and loyal. Father, he praised me for being obedient to you and obedient to my mother-in-law. He told me that I should continue to be obedient to the Lord, and good was coming for Naomi and me. He was right! Father, the next day he bought Naomi's land from her and he took me as his wife. I felt so scared, but at the same time so excited because you have given me and Naomi such peace throughout this entire process. Father, now that Boaz and I have been married for a few months, I continuously see your goodness and your faithfulness. Boaz treats me like a queen and has taken Naomi in as well. He makes sure that we are as happy as can be, and that we are able to work to honor you, Father. It has been truly amazing to see how your plan has worked for good. I always knew that it would, but looking back now at the pain and trials me and Naomi went through before finding Boaz, it is beautiful to see your plan come together. Father, I am thankful to be yours and I am thankful to be married to Boaz. I pray that our story will reach the nations so that everyone can see your goodness and your faithfulness. Amen.

Dear God,
Oh, how good you are! Father, you are so faithful and you are so consistent in following through with your promises. When Ruth first started working for Boaz, I felt that you urged me to have Ruth go to Boaz and lay at his feet. I knew that she would be wary of this idea, but she is loyal and she did it. Boaz saw this as an act of loyalty and obedience, and I believe it was love at first sight. Father, you knew this all along. Boaz bought my land from me, and took both myself and Ruth in as family. Boaz and Ruth have the most beautiful marriage. They honor you in all that they do, and they serve you with such a joyful heart. It is beautiful to witness their love. Father, I pray that as we all continue to live together and serve you, that this story would reach the nations. The way that you intertwined all of us through tragedy, loyalty, and grace, I believe this shows how good of a God you are. I love you, Father, and I will serve you all of my days. Amen.

Dear God,
You are ever-faithful, Father! I knew that you would answer my prayers, and you did. Father, I prayed for new workers and a wife, and you gave me both of those things in one, amazing woman. Ruth is everything I could ever ask for. Father, after she had been working for me for a few days, she came and laid down at my feet. Although this does not make sense to most, this is an act of obedience in my eyes. It showed her loyalty and her obedience to you, to Naomi, and to me. I think it is incredible that she is willing to do whatever you call her to, Father. After this, I knew this woman is who you had planned for me to marry all along. I immediately bought Naomi's land and made Ruth my wife. I have not looked back since. These two women are such blessings to me. They work hard and serve with happy hearts. Father, I could not be more joyful to call Ruth my wife and Naomi my mother-in-law. You work in all things and bring good to all things. I am thankful to serve you and thankful that you chose to weave my story with those of Ruth and Naomi. I love you, Father, and I can't wait to serve you the rest of my days. Amen.

Author's Note:
I tried to wrap up this story by having all three characters be in the future and looking back over the last few months. In the original Bible story, Naomi encourages Ruth to lay herself down at Boaz's feet after she starts working for him. I never quite understood this part or how it would show Boaz Ruth's loyalty, and so I tried to somewhat convey my confusion in their prayers. After Ruth did this, Boaz went and bought Naomi's land, which would mean that he was also technically buying Ruth and Naomi. I wanted the story to be more like a love story, and not just like Boaz was "buying" Ruth and Naomi, and so I tried to turn the story to show that Boaz was buying the land because he wanted to marry Ruth. I wanted this story to show a little more of how thankful all of three of them were to God for interweaving all of their stories, as well as providing for all of them. I think the original story is so beautiful and I wanted to go in more depth towards how I interpret the story. I know this can be somewhat of a confusing story if you have not read the original, so I encourage everyone to go read the original story in the Bible (Ruth ch 1-4). Thanks for reading!
