Email Dr. MA Saghiri at Mohammadali.saghiri@rutgers.edu with your CV and a detailed explanation of why you are interested on conducting your PhD research at the Biomaterials Research lab along with a brief summary of your research interests
*Accepted applicants will receive an NDA and a work agreement (non-paid position) within 10 business days*
Review and Sign Agreements
After accepting reading and accepting the terms: sign, scan, and email them back to Dr. MA Saghiri
Research Guidelines
Receive research guidelines within 10 days of agreement submission. You will be provided with detailed guidelines and a strategic plan for your research project
Weekly lab attendance
PhD students are responsible for attending at least 6 hours weekly preferably in multiple sessions that accommodate research demands. Scheduling can be coordinated with Ms. Devyani Nath (Lab Manager)
Weekly Reports
PhD students are responsible for submitting weekly progress reports adhering to the Rutgers University style which can be found at the RU style guidelines; failure to report for 2 consecutive weeks or a total of 3 missed reports will result in removal from the rotational research program

Oral Presentation Requirements
PhD students are required to present their activities and research findings throughout their research period at the BRL lab meetings on Fridays
Use of EndNote
PhD students are responsible for seeking and learning how to use EndNote. All referrences used throughout their research must be managed with EndNote and the EndNote library must be submitted along with the final report
Dr. MA Saghiri will only provide recommendation letters to students who achieve a score of 90/100 or higher on their final report. Unfortunately, no recommendation letters will be provided for scores below this threshold.
