Rut holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Chulalongkorn University (CU), Thailand, where he currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He earned his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Survey and Geographic Information Engineering from Kasetsart University and Chulalongkorn University in 2016 and 2019, respectively. During his Ph.D. studies, Rut was also appointed as a Junior Visiting Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales, Australia (May 2023 – August 2023).
His research centers on the advancement of applied continuum theories for the Scaled Boundary Finite Element Method (SBFEM), with a focus on solving topology optimization problems and extending these methodologies to various applications. He has published several articles in ISI-indexed journals and was awarded the prestigious C2F scholarship to support his Ph.D. studies.
In addition to his academic achievements, Rut has gained practical experience as a structural engineer at NorCiv Engineering and Consultant. His role has provided him with invaluable real-world insights, allowing him to seamlessly connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Notably, he has been involved in the detailed design of highway and railway structures, including hammerhead piers, portal frames, and various types of girders, highlighting his dedication to innovation in civil engineering.
