My name is Tyson Ruszler, and I am an educator with a passion for science, nature, and learning in all it's forms. I have a strong belief in education as the foundation of a healthy and equitable society, and as an expression of the human urge to look at the world with wonder. For over a decade, I have worked with learners of all ages and sought to inspire that sense of wonder in others.
I have a life-long love of all things science - from atoms to astronomy. I received my Bachelor's of Science from UC Davis in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, where I also studied plant biology and plant ecology.
My background also includes education through play in my work with Fantasy Warplay, an educational program which teaches drama, athletics, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and ethics - all through live action roleplaying.
