Leadership Experience: 

Russell Coletti brings to the table over 30 years of tangible leadership.  He was born in NY and when he first felt a calling to serve his community, he joined the fire department as a first responder.  He worked on Monitor Hose Engine 99, known as “The Dock Rats”, a pumper that was first on scene. 

In 1981, Russell joined the Navy to serve his country. He served aboard the USS Reeves CG-24 and the USS Iwo Jima LPH-2.  His duties in the Navy included supervising two divisions aboard naval ships.  He completed his career in the Navy as a distinguished instructor at Fleet Mine Warfare Training Center in Charleston, SC.  

Russell then crossed deck and joined the Air Force as the flight line expediter serving in 3 campaigns.  He served in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.  His duties included managing the flight line, ensuring all (upwards of 60) aircraft assigned were “green” and up and running all while managing the troops to ensure all flight line safety and operational requirements were followed.

During his 22 years of military service, Russell was awarded multiple accommodation awards, good conduct awards, Sailor of the Quarter, and Airmen of the Quarter. 

Russell also worked in management as Operations Manager for FedEx Express for 30 years.  He managed the daily operations of 200+ employees often making on the spot decisions to ensure all aspects of operation were covered.  Operations included flight line ramp operations, over 100 morning delivery routes, 35 night pick up routes, and multiple CTV trucking routes to various destinations in the southeast.  Additionally, he was responsible for coordinating with aircraft arrivals, departures, and delays from the Memphis hub and implementing contingency plans as needed to get millions of dollars worth of commerce to FedEx Express customers on a daily basis.

As Operations Manager, Russell has been awarded and recognized for his superior leadership skills, receiving Manager of the Year multiple times, as well as Station of the Year.

Russell has a proven record of leadership and success in his career, but his greatest accomplishment is his beautiful family.  After his US Navy career brought him to the Charleston area in 1987, he met Lois in 1990.  They were married in 1995.  Russell is a proud father of 3 sons, and beaming grandfather of 3; 2 grandsons and a granddaughter.
