Developing Rural Pakistan
At RADO, we're dedicated to achieving the holistic transformation of rural communities in Pakistan, by ensuring access to basic human needs, pioneering sustainable access to modern education and economic independence.
RADO's Impact
Rural Development Initiatives
This vital initiative focuses on immediate humanitarian relief, addressing the lack of healthcare access in the villages of Chakwal and surrounding areas. RADO's Free Medical Camps provide essential examinations, treatments and necessary medications to hundreds of community members every year.
While our immediate focus is treatment, RADO is committed to long-term health literacy. Our Free Medical Camps are structured to include dedicated time for preventive health education. Volunteers and medical professionals provide workshops on basic sanitation, hygiene practices, and nutritional guidance to combat diseases that are common in rural Pakistan due to poor infrastructure.
Ramadan Food Distribution Program is a key example of RADO's commitment to meeting the basic human needs of our communities. During the holy month, we distribute essential food packages to the poorest families, alleviating financial stress and ensuring nutrition is maintained during this sacred time.
Our Food Distribution Program aims to build resilience by moving beyond a one-off handout. The Ramadan Food Distribution serves as the centerpiece, utilizing locally sourced staples to support local economy and provide culturally appropriate nutrition to families in need. We actively source food items from local businesses and farmers in the Chakwal and Talagang region. This decision not only lowers transport costs but directly injects funds back into the local rural economy, creating a double impact.
