Project Objectives:
To analyse how climate-related financial conditions can be incorporated into macroeconomic models.
To produce policy-relevant analysis supporting NIESR’s climate modelling work.
To develop applied macroeconomic research skills through engagement with ongoing work.
Proposed Activities:
Review NIESR’s climate-economy modelling and support scenario analysis
Develop familiarity with macroeconomic models and climate scenarios
Assist in re-estimation of model equations where relevant
Participate in research meetings and workshops
Contribute to ongoing macroeconomic and policy analysis
Support dissemination through policy outputs or blogs

Retrieved and analysed data of all listed firms on the Indian National Stock Exchange across 2011- 2016.
Developed a financial distress prediction model that identifies early warning signals of corporate failure that was adopted by the Ministry of Corporate affairs to guide policymaking.
