Hi ! My name is Runze Zhang. You are welcome to call me Runze [pronounced: ROON-zə] or Steve.

• From August 1st, 2026, I will be a Postdoc in CUHK (HongKong), working with Prof. Kwokwai Chan.

• I  defended my PhD thesis titled: 

       Invariants, local stabilities and unobstructedness in deformation theory 

in LJAD, Université Côte d'Azur  (Nice), France on October 24, 2025.  A full-text version is avaliable via link.  My PhD advisors are  Profs.   Junyan CAO  &  Sheng RAO.

• My research interests are Complex Geometry & Algebraic Geometry.

Especially on the deformations of complex structures or pairs, Ohsawa–Takegoshi type extension theorems, Positivity of direct images, Log Calabi–Yau geometry, Iitaka program, etc.
