Coach Bracetty has been coaching at both the high school and college level in the Lehigh Valley for over two decades. Every year, for the past 20+ years, she has produced numerous cross country PIAA State Qualifiers and Medalists (Team/ Individual) and Track District and State Medalists.
As a four-year collegiate athlete at DII ESU, she broke the school record in the 3000m Steeplechase, was a 2x NCAA DII National Qualifier, PSAC East Champion in the 3000 steeple and was PSAC runner up in the 1600m. While at ESU, she received the NCAA Cross Country Athletic Award, was named to the NCAA DII All-Regional Cross Country Team and earned All-American Academic Honors while majoring in Health, Physical Education and Spanish Education.
During her time at Parkland, her girls 4x800 relay were 5th place PIAA State Medalists, EPC & District XI Champions and broke the PHS School Record with a time of 9:20.76
The Boys 4x800 Relay were also both EPC & District XI Champions and PIAA State Qualifiers. Last Fall, the Boys XC Team went 17-0 and won both the EPC Championship and Regular Season titles and both teams secured 3 Individual PIAA XC Qualifiers.
She was twice named Lehigh Valley "Coach of the Year” by the Morning Call and Lehigh Valley Live in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 as Emmaus' Head XC Coach after leading them to 3 years undefeated; 39-0; 3x EPC Champions; Back-to-Back District Champions; and 5th place overall Team Finish at PIAA XC State Championships. At Muhlenberg College, she improved the teams' Regional Ranking from 25th to 12th (Women) and 15th to 9th (Men), and produced a DIII National Qualifier every year along with dozens of NCAA top ten individual performances.
In her spare time, Coach Bracetty is the local Community Coordinator for the Healthy Kids Running Series in Bethlehem PA. She's completed several 500+ mile charity bike rides across the country. An 8-time Boston Marathon qualifier and Kentucky Ironman finisher, she enjoys running and cheering on her own children in their sporting events.
Coach Schlaner is a Science Teacher at Orefield Middle School and is the advisor of the STEAM Club for 6-8th graders. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at West Chester University and Master's Degree in STEM Education. Recently, Coach Schlaner was named 2024 Da Vinci Science Center STEAM Award Recipient! Way to go Coach!
Coach Schlaner has been an assistant coach at Parkland HS for over 5+ years and loves motivating and encouraging athletes to strive to be the best they can be! She sees potential in every athlete, and inspires each of them to push beyond their limits and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. In 2024, she helped start the Girls on the Run program at Orefield Middle School and served as their Coach throughout the Spring.
Fun Fact: Coach Schlaner is one of the many sets of twins on the team! (We have 10 pairs of twins to be exact! :) In her spare time, Coach Schlaner loves to to explore, hike and anything involving Science! She has 2 children that she enjoys watching them in their sporting events!
Coach Lewis is a Learning Support Teacher at Parkland High School. He has been such an influential rolemodel to students and athletes throughout his years teaching and coaching! Coach Lewis joins our cross country staff after serving many years as a football coach at Parkland HS. During the Spring, he serves as the throwing coach for the Parkland Track & Field team for the past several years.
Coach Lewis' motivation goes unmatched and his energy is contagious! He is a constant source of inspiration, emphasizing effort over outcome, and cultivating a team spirit that values perseverance, teamwork, and self-belief! We are SO glad to have Coach Lewis on our coaching staff!
In his spare time, Coach Lewis enjoys watching football but most of all loves cheering on his 3 daughters in all they do! (especially softball!)
Coach Yudt has been a Math teacher for 24 years and currently teachers mathematics at Parkland HS, as well as being an adjunct professor at Lehigh University. She received her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame, and her Ph.D. from Lehigh University.
Coach Yudt started coaching middle school cross country in 2010 and OMS girls basketball in 2012. She really enjoyed working with the 7th & 8th grade athletes! "It's fun to see my former middle school athletes in the PHS hallways, XC course, and even in my classroom once they transition to high school."
Coach Yudt still competes in road races occasionally with a group of teacher friends / workout partners, but currently, she mainly trains for triathlons. She has completed both sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and recently completed her first half-ironman race last summer! (1.2 mi swim, 56 mi bike, 13.1 mi run). Way to go Coach!
In her spare time, Coach Yudt enjoys pierogies, anything chocolate-peanut butter, cross-country skiing, hiking, and staying active!
Coach Stout is a Parkland Alum who returns to her roots to help teach and inspire students each day! At Parkland, she was a four-year letter winner and later went on to play women's basketball at Muhlenberg College, where she earned her B.S. degree in Mathematics.
Coach Stout is an amazing role model with energy and heart that guides our young athletes as they push themselves both physically and mentally. She brings enthusiasm to the team, and is dedicated to helping our student-athletes build a foundation of trust, teamwork, and perseverance that will inspire them for years to come.
