Welsh 3000'ers Expedition
24th-26th July 2024
£175 per person
Tackle the iconic 15 mountain in north Wales that are over 3000ft! This fastpacking expedition is a great way to explore Eryri, taking our time to move fast and light over the terrain as well as exploring the lesser known parts of the park.
Who is the expedition aimed at?
This is aimed at runners who have some experience of moving on technical terrain and are comfortable with heights. You should be comfortable on your feet for 5-7 hours, and able to run around 20-30km on road and / or trails. We won’t be running fast, and there will be lots of stops included. The routes take us to some of the most beautiful parts of the National Park. In order to limit our impact on the mountains, this is limited to 6 people.
Aim
The aim is to summit all 15 of the Welsh 3000'ers, including two wild camps in spectacular places. There will be steep and exposed sections that are sustained. The pace will be social and, as the secret to mountain running is to walk the uphills, we will do the same. There will be sustained and exposed sections of technical scrambling at Grade 1. If in doubt, contact David before booking. This is about taking your running to the next level. You will have experience of camping.
Route planning and navigation tips will be included as well as what equipment to take.
