Intro to Mountain Running Day
Bannau Brycheiniog
12th August 2023
£45 per person, limited spaces
This is an ideal option for those who can't commit to a full weekend or are limited on time.
Who is the weekend aimed at?
This is aimed at runners who are comfortable on their feet for 4-5 hours, and able to run around 10-15km on road and / or trails. We won’t be running fast, and there will be lots of stops included. The routes take us to some of the most beautiful parts of the National Park.
Aim
This is pitched as an introduction to mountain running so complete beginners and seasoned mountain runners are welcome. The pace will be social and, as the secret to mountain running is to walk the uphills, we will do the same. There will be some technical trails characterised by features such as loose rocks and tree roots. You will leave the weekend with the confidence to go alone into the mountains as well as connecting with like-minded people.
Route planning and navigation tips will be included as well as what equipment to take.
