My name is Ruiran Sun.

I am currently a postdoc at University of Toronto. I obtained my PhD in Mathematics on 28 May 2021 at the University of Mainz under the supervision of Ariyan Javanpeykar and Kang Zuo

My research focuses on Hodge theory and its applications to moduli spaces and arithmetic geometry. In particular, I study the hyperbolicity of moduli spaces of polarized varieties predicted by the Lang-Vojta conjecture, as well as non-abelian Hodge theory and its p-adic analogues. I also have a strong interest in symplectic birational geometry.
