Welcome to my web site! 

My name is Rui Manuel Pinto Costa, a Portuguese historian with a keen interest in history of science. I graduated in History at the University of Porto, where I also received a MA in Contemporary History and a PhD in History. Later on, I finished a post-doc in History of Science  at the University of Coimbra. My main research interests include history of health and biomedical sciences, as well as history of science and technology with a focus on contemporary history. Currently I am an integrated researcher of CI-IPOP - IPO Porto Research Center and an associated researcher of CEIS20 - Center of Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Coimbra, Portugal. 

The purpose of this web site is to present the results of my work to fellow historians and other researchers with an interest in history of science.
