Rui Kato received his B.Eng. in Control and Systems Engineering, M.Eng. in Computer Science, and D.Eng. in Computer Science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Yokohama, Japan in 2019, 2021, and 2024, respectively. From 2021 to 2024, he was a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. Since September 2024, he was a postdoc researcher at LAGEPP, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, where he works on "incremental stabilization of nonlinear systems and regulation" with Daniele Astolfi and Vincent Andrieu. Since July 2026, he has been a postdoc researcher at the University of Tokyo.
I am mainly interested in differential equations and control theory. Below is a list of my research topics to date.
Security of networked control systems
Synchronization in complex networks
Chaotic attractors of interconnected systems
Contraction analysis of dynamical systems
