विकिरिद्र विलोहित नमस्ते अस्तु भगवः ।
यास्ते सहस्रꣳ हेतयोऽन्यमस्मन्निवपन्तु ताः ॥ ५२॥
Chapter 5, Mantra 52 IAST form
vikiridra vilohita namaste astu bhagavaḥ .
yāste sahasragͫ hetayo'nyamasmannivapantu tāḥ .. 52..
Meaning:-
This verse is a prayer to Lord Rudra (Shiva), addressing him as "Vikiridra" (the scatterer or destroyer) and "Vilohita" (the red-hued or fierce one). The devotee offers salutations to Rudra, acknowledging his powerful and formidable nature. The prayer requests that the thousands of Rudra's weapons or forces be diverted away from them and directed elsewhere, asking for his protection and to be spared from his wrath and destructive power.
