namaḥ prataraṇāya cottaraṇāya ca

Meaning:-
In this verse, the devotee acknowledges Rudra's omnipresence in both the near and far shores, as a guide and protector who helps beings cross over life's challenges. The verse also honors Rudra's presence in sacred waters, riverbanks, and in the subtle forms of nature like tender grass and foam. This highlights Rudra’s role as a divine protector and his gentle, nurturing presence in all aspects of the natural world, from the powerful to the delicate.
