About

I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Earth Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur). Since July 2022, I have been conducting my research at the Water Resources and Remote Sensing Laboratory under the guidance of Dr. Tajdarul Hassan Syed. My current research is centered around comprehending the dynamics of rivers in the Ganga-Brahmaputra basin by leveraging remotely sensed imagery.

Prior to my doctoral studies, I successfully completed a five-year BS-MS dual degree program at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata (IISER Kolkata). During my tenure at IISER Kolkata, I specialized in Geological Sciences while also undertaking a minor in Chemical Sciences. My MS thesis was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mandal, who leads the Earth Surface Dynamics group at IISER Kolkata.
