Workshop"Limit theorems for spatial random structures"
Ruhr University Bochum (Germany)
September 7 to 9, 2022
Spatial random structures have been investigated for a long time in different fields, including classical geometric probability, modern stochastic geometry, point processes theory, the theory of random sets and, more recently, in connection with applied topology and the geometric theory of random fields. The last decade has seen an exciting development in the description of fluctuations of especially Poisson-driven geometric random structures. As examples we mention the central limit theorems for random polytopes, geometric random graphs, geometric simplicial complexes or random tessellations. The goal of this workshop is to bring together young and senior researchers for an active exchange of the most recent development in this exciting area.
