RTL(Rua Transport Ltd) is New Zealand owned and all the directors work alongside our other drivers helping out where needed. They can seamlessly jump from managing the office, organising the deliveries, loading the trucks or delivering and installing appliances when the work levels require it. Rua was formed because it is the Maori word for two as this was the owners second chance to work with and alongside FPA, as they have all been owner drivers or worked for FPA for over 10 years.
RTL was established in 2013 and has customised and dedicated its operations of 14 staff and 14 freight vehicles to deliver and create an efficient distribution service. This means we have made your business our only business, and we have successfully delivered and installed over 2 million appliances throughout our combined service. Over the last two years our staff has increased by 55% and our fleet has grown 130%, from 6 to 14 freight vehicles to ensure we cover the growing need in the greater Auckland metro area, while deliveries have been increasing by 15% per annum. We currently deliver from Wellsford/Mangawhai to Hamilton and are looking at ways to expand this area currently. Our fleet ranges from Vans, to 6 wheeler trucks. All trucks have tail lifts and a mixture of box body and curtainsiders.
We offer same or next day delivery services, specializing in appliance delivery’s and installations offering a premium service of delivery, install and removal of rubbish and taking the old products away for recycling. We also deliver pallets as and where required around the greater Auckland area along with any other products/goods that are required to moved.
Our drivers, including the owners who still deliver daily, have been trained in installing appliances and attend training workshops when new F&P products are released to ensure they can offer a premium install service.
Technology is an imperative part of RTL and the services we offer. All our trucks have GPS trackers in them so we are easily able to locate a truck and driver at any time or know if how far away they are from an area, or what speeds they have been travelling for safety monitoring. This technology also helps us predict delivery times and keep customers informed if there are issues or hold ups such as traffic conditions.
