What do we accept?
We accept all forms and genres of literary work, photography, and art work provided that they are appropriate for publishing in a student-run magazine.
Literary works longer than 5 pages will not be considered for printing. However, they may be considered for separate publication on The Anthologist website. Please indicate whether you would like to be considered for this in your submission email.
Formatting
For written pieces, please attach a PDF or Word document with 12-point, Times New Roman font. (If the chosen font is relevant to the submitted piece, please indicate this in your email.)
For art pieces and photography, please provide high-resolution scans or images. Any image format is acceptable. We also encourage you to include the dimensions and medium for each work (e.g. 16x20” oil on canvas).
Title all work, or indicate clearly that the work is untitled.

Include in your e-mail:
The name you would like to be published under. You may choose to be published anonymously or under a pseudonym if you so choose.
Whether you would like to receive feedback in the form of a written critique. If you do not request this, we will only respond to let you know if your work is selected for publication.
A Note on AI Usage
We at The Anthologist respect the integrity of human-made art and literature. As such, we do not accept any submissions generated or aided by the use of Artificial Intelligence. Any submissions reasonably suspected of AI use will be denied both critique and publication.

By submitting your work, you agree to and grant The Anthologist non-exclusive permission to publish your work in print or online via The Anthologist website. All authors and artists retain ownership of their work, thus reprinting or reproducing these contents without the written consent of the author or artist is strictly prohibited.
The Anthologist staff reserves the right to make minor grammatical and punctuation corrections to submissions.
The Anthologist may keep an online archive of the issue in which your work appears.
All opinions expressed in the works that appear in this publication are solely the expressions of the respective creators, and are not intended to represent the ideas or views of The Anthologist staff, or the views of Rutgers University administration, faculty, or student body.
References to any product, process, publication, service, or offering of any third party by trade name, trademark, manufacturer or otherwise does not necessarily constitute or imply the endorsement or recommendation of such by the The Anthologist staff.
