Tibetan National Uprising Day

March 10 is observed as Tibetan National Uprising Day by Tibetans all over the world. On march 10, 1959 Tibetans in Tibet revolted against the Chinese occupation of Tibet and thousands were killed by the Chinese army.

Panchen Lama Birthday

April 25 is Birth Anniversary of the 11th Panchen Lama.

Martyr’s Day

April 29 is the death Anniversary of Pawo Thupten Ngodup who sacrificed his life self immolating for Tibet.

Panchen Lama Arrest Day

May 17 is the day Panchen Lama was arrested on arbitrary charges.

17 Point Agreement 1951

May 23 is the day the 17 Point Agreement was signed between Tibet and Chine. Tibetans do not accept this agreement as it was signed under duress.

World Environment Day

June 5 is observed as World Environment Day

Birthday of HH the 14th Dalai Lama

July 6 is the Birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
