Robert T.W. Martin

Hi, welcome to my site!  I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba.  I completed my Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Waterloo in 2008, and I held a postdoctoral position at the University of California, Berkeley with Prof. Don Sarason from 2008-2010.  Following this, I was a mathematics faculty member at the University of Cape Town from 2011-2019. 

My research interests include:  operator theory and analytic function theory in one and several (commuting and non-commuting) variables, free analysis and functional analysis.
