This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Service and tells you about your privacy rights.

1. Introduction and Overview

Your privacy is important to us. The mobile application RTSniff ("the App") is developed with the primary goal of allowing users to analyze and discover RTSP video and audio streams on local networks or through provided IPs. Our commitment is to offer a functional and transparent tool that respects your privacy.

2. Collection and Use of Personal Data

RTSniff is designed not to collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from its users.

• Data not collected: The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise geographical location, persistent device identifiers for marketing or analytical purposes, contacts, photos, or any other information that could personally identify you.

• Internet Permission (android.permission.INTERNET): The internet access permission is strictly used for the core functionality of the app: checking active IPs on the network and connecting to and analysing RTSP streams. The sample feeds used by the app, including the database of over 180 predefined feeds, consist of RTSP addresses that are publicly available online. It is crucial to note that all RTSP stream data (video and/or audio) is processed and displayed exclusively on your device and is never sent, stored, or shared by us (the developer). The functionality for analysing RTSP streams is performed locally on your device using components from the open-source FFmpeg project, specifically the FFprobe module, which is licensed under LGPL v2.1. These components operate exclusively on your device, with no data sent to or shared with external servers. Your scan, your privacy!

3. Usage Data and Logs

• RTSniff does not generate or store detailed usage logs that could be associated with an individual user.

• We do not use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.) that collect app usage data.

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

• Since RTSniff does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to be disclosed or shared with third parties.

5. Security of Your Personal Data

The security of your Personal Data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Since RTSniff does not collect or store your personal data, the risk of exposure of such data is minimised.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.

7. Links to Other Websites

Our App may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.
