To build the capacity of rural SHGs/ youth through training and skill promotion in various employment / income generation units are established at RTP on PPP model. These production and demonstration units housed at RTP provide short term skill development training programmes, transfer sustainable technologies and promote entrepreneurship among rural people across the national and international boundaries.

Terms and Condition

Training session will ensure hands on experience about the technology, So, proper internet connectivity of 1Mbs speed need to be ensured.
Only registered participants will be allowed to attend the session, make sure confirmation mail is received on or before online session start.
Digital certificate will be issued only after qualifying post-training assessment.
Selected session cannot be re-scheduled.

MUD BLOCK MAKING

Compressed Earth Block (CEB), also known as a Pressed Earth Block or a Compressed Soil Block, is a building material made primarily from damp soil compressed at high pressure to form blocks. The blocks, stabilised with a chemical binder such as cement are called compressed stabilised earth block (CSEB) or stabilised earth block (SEB). The CSEB or Mud Block can be a sustainable housing option, reducing ecological foot print and degradation of environment while promoting employment and entrepreneurship locally.

VERMICOMPOST AND VERMI WASH

Composting is simply the process of breaking down the organic matter (biodegradables/ perishables) in the presence of air and water, using earthworms (Eisenia fetida). The end product is called compost which is rich in readily usable plant nutrients forming a part of healthy soil. Vermicomposting is a preferred nutrient source for organic farming. Training on Vermicomposting and Vermi wash is provided.

NEEM CAKE AND OIL EXTRACTION

Bio-pesticides are naturally occurring substances used for pest control. Botanical pesticides are substances/ metabolites obtained from plants such as neem, pongamia and anona. Bio-pesticides help in weeding out larvae and the neem products such as neem cake & neem powder acts as bio-fertilizers. People can undertake production of these as an income generating activity from the training programmes offered by this unit.

Beekeeping is an important activity among farmers and families residing in rural areas for income generation. Apart from honey, various valuable by-products of highly medicinal and commercial value can be obtained from various processes. The declining population of honeybees due to chemical farming practices can only be addressed by promoting beekeeping to ensure pollination of plants to sustain life on earth. The unit provides training on beekeeping and honey processing.

Mushroom cultivation helps in improving livelihood of people through economic, nutritional and medicinal contributions. LEAF PLATE MAKING

Tree leaves such as beautia superb, beautia Monosperma and bauhinia frondosa (Sal Leaves or Seali Leaves) are traditionally weaved into plates for serving food in many parts of India. However, making these leaf plates into attractive buffet plates can fetch higher returns while reducing the use of plastic plates. For this purpose, this unit has developed biodegradable reinforcement techniques using card boards and natural leaf pulp boards and offers training programmes.

Handmade paper making is one of the very valuable processes which can help in addressing the issue of waste disposal. The unit offers training on production of recycled handmade paper from waste of plant species like banana, jute, mulberry, manila & hemp and waste like paper, cardboards, cotton fabrics, etc. Training on converting finished handmade paper boards into office stationery, file cover, folder, visiting cards, photo frame, carry bags, jewellery/ gift boxes, etc., is also provided.

TRIBAL & FASHION JEWELLERY

Artificial jewellery making is a good option for women who would like to pursue a useful livelihood option right at their doorstep. Products like necklace, bracelet, coin jewellery, Vishnu chakra mala etc., are made with raw materials like oxide white metal, beads, stone crystal, emerald, copper, pearl etc. Also, there is a good demand for tribal jewellery-based products. This unit offers training programmes on tribal and pearl jewellery making.
