To fulfill the increasing electric power demand one of the ideal ways is to incorporate small renewable-based generations to the existing distribution system. The distribution system embedded with distribution generations (DGs) is called a microgrid. Adding DGs possesses new challenges such as control, operation and management, and protection of microgrid. Therefore, the aim of RTM-2020 is to provide thorough knowledge and understanding about the topic and to equip with new ideas related to research and development.
The short-term course will be organized in an online mode and the link for attending the course will be shared only with the shortlisted candidates.
Short term course topics:
# Basics of microgrid
# Distributed generations (DGs)
# Pros and cons of different DGs
# Operation and control of renewable-based DGs
# Challenges in microgrid with embedded DGs
# Impact of DGs on environmental pollution
# Protection against fault in microgrid
# Protection against islanding in microgrid
# Voltage stability
# Deregulation in a microgrid environment
