Privacy Practices — RSVP Web Reader
This extension does not collect, transmit, or store any data outside your browser.
No network requests. The extension itself never sends data anywhere. Article text is extracted and processed entirely on your device, in the page you're already viewing.
No account, no analytics, no tracking.
Local storage only. Reading position (so you can resume an article where you left off) is stored in chrome.storage.local, which stays on your device and is never synced or transmitted. It can be cleared at any time by removing the extension.
Permissions used:
activeTab / scripting — used only when you click the toolbar icon or the "Speed-read selection" context-menu item, to read the current page's article text (or your text selection) and display the RSVP reader. Never runs automatically or on pages you haven't explicitly triggered it on.
storage — for the local-only resume-position feature described above.
contextMenus — adds the "Speed-read selection" right-click menu item.
