RSS Pioneers 2021 was held virtually via Zoom in 2021 due to COVID-19 (it was organized virtually from the get-go). The program involved 30 PhD/PostDoc researchers and 10 speakers/panelists from academia and industry.

RSS Pioneers 2020 was held virtually via Zoom in 2020 due to COVID-19 (it was originally scheduled to be held in Corvallis, Oregon, USA). The program involved 28 PhD/PostDoc researchers and 5 speakers/panelists from academia and industry.

RSS Pioneers 2019 was held at the University of Freiburg, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany in 2019. The program involved 23 PhD/PostDoc researchers and 6 speakers/panelists from academia and industry.

RSS Pioneers 2018 was held at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA in 2018. The program involved 27 PhD/PostDoc researchers and 6 speakers/panelists from academia and industry.
