How much travel support will be provided?

We aim to cover most of the major costs (airfare, hotel, registration for RSS) for all participants invited to attend the workshop. However, the actual amount of travel support we can provide depends on conference budgeting, which includes registration and sponsorships. Therefore, we won't have specific information until much closer to the conference date.

Can the extended abstract include previously published work?

Yes. The extended abstracts of participants accepted into the workshop will be posted publicly on this website. Though public, this does not count as archival publication. Therefore, we encourage submitters not to copy-and-paste from previous publications, but the abstract need not adhere to the more stringent rules about novelty for archival publications.

Why do the abstracts need to be anonymized?

In an effort to promote equity, increase diversity, and remove possible bias toward submissions on non-technical grounds, review of abstracts will be double blind. Submissions to this workshop should follow the same guidelines as submissions to the main RSS conference: http://www.roboticsconference.org/information/authorinfo/#double-blind-submission

The CV does not need to be anonymized because it will not go out for peer review. Decisions about invitations to the workshop will be made based on both the scientific merit of the ideas and work expressed in the abstract, as well as the student's publication record as reflected on the CV.
