Our Mission

To empower the next generation of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology students and early-career researchers from institutions and universities across Nigeria, and to facilitate collaborative activities among them.

Our Objectives

To improve and develop Computational Biology and Bioinformatics across Nigeria and Africa through:

• Organizing academic events, networking opportunities, and soft-skills training

• Providing educational resources

• Supporting the general development of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics students and young researchers in the region

ISCB SC RSG-NIGERIA BOARD 2025-2026

The ISCB SC RSG-Nigeria Board is the team that drives everything we do. A group of student and early-career volunteers who plan our events, run our training and webinars, and keep the community connected. Across roles in science communication, outreach, capacity building, research development and beyond, they give their time to grow Computational Biology and Bioinformatics for students and researchers in Nigeria and across Africa.
