Sharda has a PhD in Environmental Biology from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.
In 2015, she developed the award-winning programme called Adopt A River, which completed 78 water related projects, engaging over 5000 person in 2 years.
Sharda has also lectured part-time with the Department of Life Sciences, UWI, St. Augustine for both undergraduate and post-graduate programmes.
She is currently the National Coordinator for the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) where she assists NGOs in developing projects that have sustainable, positive impacts on their community and environment.
The DIY Place is a unique creative and educational organization focused on building creative and innovative capability through training, education sector support, public awareness initiatives and resource development. In the elementary school education sector, we foster the development of creativity, analytical thinking, problem-solving and critical thinking, using art and craft as an enabler.
We support and reinforce the development creativity and innovation for all individuals from early childhood and throughout life.
The DIY Place supports the development of local entrepreneurship and initiatives, using creative ideas to build businesses, support livelihood and encourage national development.
